Loose powder is a finely milled powder used to set make-up , it also blurs and hides fine lines while absorbing oils from the skin during the day. Pressed powders come in the form of semi-solid powders that offer greater coverage and colour payoff, so while they can be used to set makeup, you can also use them in place of foundation. Powders also tend to come in a variety of shades, whereas loose powders usually come in fewer shades with translucent options. Pressed powders are more portable as they come in compact form and often include puffs, so you can use them for touch-ups on the go.

Whilst both types of powder are used for setting foundations, concealers and cream products, there are some key differences between the two.

Loose Powder: Loose powder is in the form of a very fine powder.
Pressed powder: powder foundation is a compressed solid state, mostly presented as a round or square.
2. The difference in efficacy
Loose powder: loose powder mainly plays a role in setting makeup, can control oil, so that the makeup is more transparent.
Pressed powder: as a primer, the concealer is stronger, can be used as a foundation, or used to make up.
3. The difference in the method of use
Loose powder: Loose Powder is applied with a matching plush puff or loose powder brush, in the last step of all the makeup is completed.
Pressed powder: Powder usually with the sponge pouncer, the use of pressing the way, or wet with the sponge pouncer spray wet, and then dipped in powder to do foundation with.
4. Suitable for different skin types
